Technically, it is the third and last book in the Six Degrees of Separation series, but it can be read as a standalone title or even as a 'gateway' to the series. Full of heartache, suppressed passion and drama, plus moments of total tenderness to take you on an emotional rollercoaster.
Published on the 30th of September 2023, it has yet to get many reviews, but one reviewer in the US described it as 'Heartbreakingly beautiful.'

Gill Fernandez started writing fiction over forty years ago. She was first published in women's magazines, where she specialised in romance and 'slice of life' stories using three separate pen names. Writing short fiction suited her at the time and fitted best with her many family commitments.

Born in Brighton, she grew up in the south of England, an area that frequently appears in her books. As an only child, there was plenty of scope for her to develop her creative imagination when she wasn't at dance classes, having music lessons, or simply at school.

Thwarted in her early ambition to become a journalist when she left school, she followed her second ambition and went into the theatre, moved to London and began expanding her life experience. All good preparation for her future as a writer.

Nowadays, her output is almost exclusively full-length novels with strong romantic themes, often within family sagas and mostly set within the British Isles.

    This is the first time I’ve read anything written by this author, and to be honest, I almost did not read this book because I saw that it was the third book in the series. I’m glad I did read it because I found it to be quite heartbreakingly beautiful. Oh my goodness! I wanted to reach in the book and just strangles some of these characters necks.

    The one thing I loved about this book is the fact that you don’t just get the POV of two characters like many novels, but you get it from so many different characters that are weaved within the story.

    When I have time, I want to go back and read the first two books. I don’t think it matters for this one, but I would love to read the stories of a few of my new favorite characters.

    I was given an advanced copy of this book for free, and I’m leaving my review voluntarily.

    This is the first book I have read from this author. As other reviewers have said this is a clean second chance romance. I liked how this spanned different years through their relationship. A great read!.

    Last Love by Gill Fernandez is a good, and enjoyable clean second chance romance read. The story has a great entertaining world building story line that is a very easy to read story line. The characters are great, and they have great chemistry. This story is a very entertaining read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

    This is the second book I've read written by Gill Fernandez; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

    This is the third book in the Six Degrees of Separation Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Sally & Matthew’s second chance.
