Fact and fiction. Where does one begin and the other end? This story of fiction is woven with facts that make the lines between the two blur. Who is Death? What are the plans of Conquest, his longtime friend? I can't wait to find out. Happy reading.

I do not know Dave Turner. I did not give birth to him or give birth to any of his children. I got his first book as a free download and read it on vacation last year. I preordered Paper Cuts (How To Be Dead Book 2)so that it would appear on my Kindle the moment that the file became available because I just loved How to Be Dead THAT much.

So what did I like so much about Paper Cuts (How To Be Dead Book 2)? Marry Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett and their offspring will be Dave Turner. Turner’s fiction is the world underneath ours that the average person simply can’t see. Death occupies an office in a fairly upscale part of town and shares space with monkeys writing on typewriters recently rewarded with a major studio deal. Turner’s clever humor is breathtaking.

That Death and his cohorts decide that they’re not going to play the game of a man they’ve never met was intriguing. When the world does seem to be ending, it could be the work of their frenemy, Beelzebub.

If you like social commentary presented in a clever package, fantasy or authors like Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett or Douglas Adams, pick this novel up immediately if not sooner. You will not regret the purchase.

This series has been an absolute pleasure to read so far, it’s like Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett formed a supergroup within a realm that’s reminiscent of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman universe… Loads of clever writing and dialogue from a variety of strong and intrinsically interesting characters, with a story that ends up being a surprisingly poignant expression of human experience.

I am not looking to read Anna Karenina when I pick up a horror comedy. I am looking for something goofy, light and intriguing. Dave Turner delivers on this!

Loved this book. I downloaded it for free thinking I could read it over my Christmas holiday but couldn't put it down. I have since purchased the next two books in the series (I'm a firm believer that if you really find an author that you love you should pay for the privilege especially if you get the first book free). I'm looking forward to reading more from Dave Turner, I'm so glad I found him.

I liked this book way better than the first. I loved the backstory of The Four Horsemen and how it was brought into the present story. Also Dave's fight with his co workers is epic..that's all I will say about that..no spoilers.

Book is still fun, just not as fun as the first. Back story bogged it down a bit but I can see it’ll be necessary in the next book. Disappointed that we’re dealing with vampires ( aren’t we past the vampire zombie quota already )
We’ll go for the ride one more time and see if where we wind up.
    Worth another read

Another good romp with Dave and Death. I liked seeing the Four Horsemen in all their saving the world glory. It was a nice treat seeing them trying to stop Armageddon rather that start it. Dave's adventures were messy and I wasn't entirely convinced of the problem but I liked how everything was solved and that ending, wow. I must have been blind to that one. I liked how this story flowed and though there wasn't as much humour in this installment it still raised a small from time to time. Keep them coming please
