After many years of learning on my own I had stopped. I am getting back at it after quite a while and I realized that what my body used to get by before was not going to cut it now. Also, while these are basic, old exercises, the form has gotten better, the explanations are better now, with more evidence about what it means to do an exercise well. This books takes the time to explain the form of a few exercises very well. The only thing that will make this better would be to have the actuar author next to me explaining the exercise in person. I was very satisfied with this book and I am looking forward for many more with many great additional lifting explanations.

Definitely a transition, this books is very useful with the easy to understand wording and the real life pictures. I am excited to see how this helps my lifting and I will definitely be getting the other books by Jason Curtis.

Definitely a good buy for anyone coaching, participating, or with an interest in Olympic lifting.

It gets straight to the point (isn't too text heavy) and breaks down dozens of techniques with multiple colour images for each (front and side view, etc).
With just a quick flick through the book, I feel I have a much clearer understanding of the lifts - absolutely 5 Stars!
