J. Daniels is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Alabama Summer, Dirty Deeds and Sweet Addiction series, as well as her MM romance: The Tragedy of Felix and Jake.

Best known for her sexy, small-town romances, her debut novel, Sweet Addiction, was first published in 2014 and went on to become an international bestseller. Since then, she has published more than fifteen novels, including the Dirty Deeds series with Forever Romance.

Daniels grew up in Baltimore and currently lives in Maryland with her husband and three kids. A former full-time Radiologic Technologist, she began writing romance after college and quickly discovered a passion for it. You'll still catch her in scrubs every now and then, but most of her time is spent writing these days—a career she is eternally grateful for.

Always an avid reader, Daniels enjoys books of all kinds, but favors Romance (of course) and Fantasy. She loves hiking, traveling, going to the mountains for the weekend, and spending time with her family.

Daniels managed to fit everything that she did into this novella I will never know, but she brings this book full circle with a well developed plot and gripping storyline that has sweeter than whipped icing, steamier than hot yoga, and just as funny as Joey freaking ‘Jojo’ Holt moments!

    Ben and Mia, Ben and Mia, Benjamin and Mia freaking Kelly!! GAH, it’s something about those two that makes my heart flutter at just the mention of their names.

    Over the book years these two have grown so much, going from ‘enemies’ to husband and wife, to raising a family together and overcoming everything thrown their way. This novella takes it even further and throws even more obstacles at them, but in true Ben and Mia fashion, those challenges don’t stand a chance!!

    Just when you think you can’t love Benjamin Kelly any more, that it wouldn’t even be possible to, J. Daniels tests that theory out by amplifying his persona. Everything about this man has been multiplied by one thousand to make you remember why you fell in love with him in the first place.

    Mia is everything in this book. She is vulnerable yet strong, willing to do whatever for her Kelly boys. That characteristic alone gives me a lady boner the size of Ben’s nine incher!! Where We Belong proves that she is perfect for our beloved Ben in every way, shape, and form. Though this story is about them we still get a few glimpses of Luke + Tessa, Reed + Beth, and our next Bama boy and girl that will have you either smiling from ear to ear or causing a million questions to run through your head.

    Either way, I think it’s safe to say this series has caused a rise in population for the state of Alabama as every woman is in search of those #BamaBoys

Nolan’s mom is out and Mia is thinking that Nolan isn’t going to call her mommy anymore. He’s grown up in the three years that his birth mom has been serving time. The way Ben handles this is what love is all about. Nothing is going to mess up the family Ben and Mia have created together.

    I just finished Where We Belong and I'm still kinda in shock. That book sucked me in from page one. I knew this was a continuation of Ben and Mia's story and how having two kids has put a damper on their sex life. Yeah, no. This "novella" is so much more than Ben and Mia and their hot, sexy marriage and sweet family. ( I put novella in quotations because it doesn't read as a novella. You're not done in an hour or two.) There is so much going on in this story! We get more Luke and Tessa. We get more Reed and Beth. A wedding. We get the beginnings of CJ and Riley (aww yeah can't wait for their story!) We get to see Nolan growing up and being such a good big brother to baby Chasey.

    The most pivotal part for me was when Nolan's birth mother tried to come back into the scene. Mia was so scared that Nolan would reject her but so strong for Nolan and Ben. J Daniels had me bawling my eyes out and repeating to myself, " There will be a HEA. There will be a HEA." Mia proved to be the most perfect mother for Nolan and partner for Ben.

    I love the Alabama Summer series and Ben and Mia are definitely my favorite couple in the series after I finished Where We Belong (I still love you, Reed). This is what I love about J Daniels' writing. I feel guilty for liking one couple over another because good lord all of her characters are just perfect. It's hard to choose with one is your favorite!

    I just love having more Mia and Ben! Even though this is a shorter book than the others in the series, there is a lot covered. Same witty dialogue, sweet and sexy times, and plenty of love.

    Ben and Mia, with two small children, are having difficulty finding some alone and quality time together. I felt so bad for both but especially Ben when things keep interrupting their time. He’s working nights, both are tired, but Mia decides she is going to set up something on her own. Her surprise is definitely funny when they get caught. It is so easy to feel the love they have for each other.

    Ben finally gets to surprise Mia with some unexpected alone time and boy was it hot. As she’s soaking in a large tub for the fifth time in two days, she tells him to get in with her. “He quickly drops his shorts. No boxers. Boom. Like a mic. I’m surprised that gorgeous appendage doesn’t hit the floor.” Or when Mia tells Ben, “And the sexiest cop ever. Making women want to commit felonies and sh@t.” I’m telling you, Ms. Daniels can write some sexy and funny scenes.

    Even though this didn’t have an epilogue, it almost felt like one. We get to see more of all of the characters and how relationships have developed. I love to see how couples are after the end of a story and this gave me enough sweet and sexy not only between Ben and Mia but the other couples too. I just love Nolan and how much he loves his little brother. It looks there may be some additions to the families and I look forward to the next book in the series.

    This is a short, sassy, hot as hell novella bringing us our first couple from the Alabama Summer series Ben & Mia. Now that they've had their HEA real life sets in. Between their children, night shifts and a frantic need for each other it isn't always possible to fulfil the urge when it appears. Sometimes parents have to get creative to get "ALONE" time with each other. Lets just say a lingerie store, back seat of a patrol car and a surprise getaway make for some very hot & steamy reading.

    Loved getting to see more of Ben & Mia and little tidbits of the rest of the crew. Read right to the end cause there's a little Luke & Tessa thrown in there too.
