Rose has read her way through countless romances over the years, “borrowing” them from her older sisters, and hiding them from her mother (Mom didn't like the sexy book covers!)

She has a special love for Regency romances and when she began writing, the Regency period was a natural place to start. The ton, the wealthy families, the Season, the dilemmas, and yes, the marriages, have always fascinated her. She loves a happy ever after! Now she is happy to bring this passion to her stories and share it with her readers.

On a personal note, Rose lives in North Carolina, is married, and has a terrier that barks too much. She enjoys taking him for walks to tire him out!

Another great novel in the series of the wallflowers. Every story has a sweet and wonderful heroine and hero that are perfectly matched. It is very hard to put these stories down once I start reading them so I’ve gone with a couple of sleepless nights! I highly recommend the entire series and am on to the last novel.

This book is in a special series of wallflowers and is a delightful story. I kept my fingers crossed hoping the couple could find the truth of the situation.

This is a fairly interesting book, but the plot is not really one I'd be eager to plunge into again. The writing is OK, with one caveat: I felt if I read the word 'mayhap' one more time I'd throw my kindle across the room! That archaic word was worked to death! There just wasn't a lot going on in this novel, as the plot centered around one theme: two sisters being shunned and 'wallflowered' by the 'ton', due to the actions of one of them with a drunk gentleman a year before. The entire book was centered in getting to the bottom of what actually happened, then restoring the sisters' reputations so they could once again dance at the balls. I enjoyed it a bit, but am not interested in any more 'wallflower' books, which evidently have the same theme.

The story was interesting however, it just kept going on and on and on, and it just was a little wrong.

This story could have moved faster and left out some of the repetition. In the first thirds. would ask that men, especially, do not say "goodness!".

The end was a bit rushed as usual but I do not think it is always the authors fault, enjoyed this story ,a bit different to the norm but still a good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful Regency tale with a Twist!
Reviewed in Australia on June 13, 2024
Delightful Regency tale with a twist to the mystery. Lord Anthony, Earl of Newling, is accused of inappropriate behaviour with Lady Frederica’s sister, but doesn’t remember what happened. He returns to his estates to lick his wounds. Anthony is persuaded to return the following season by his friend Lord Bradford, but the Ton has not forgotten. Lady Frederica confronts Lord Anthony who enlists her aid in discovering exactly what happened the previous year. What they find out will disrupt their burgeoning romance. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
