This is a really sweet and quick holiday read. If you are just needing that quick hit of Christmas romance and spice then you definitely need this book.
The FMC is a single mom who just wants to take on a new design project. Some of what Gemma struggles with in this book I can relate to. While I'm not a single mom I know what it's like to want to be able to do the best for your kids. I like that she was relatable to the messy always running late moms out there.
Beckett is that just solitary older gentlemen that you know there is more too once you peel back the layers. He is a good guy with just a tough exterior.
This is a novella so it is a very fast romance. I think the author did a great job with this story in less than 130 pages.

And, instead of dismissing Gemma's anxiety, Beckett is right there beside her helping her through it. Since Beckett's mother was a single mom, he's able to connect to Gemma and her daughter in a way that Gemma hasn't had before. The two truly see each other, and the sparks between them shine brighter than any Christmas lights. Christmas by Design is cozy with a good amount of spice (three chapters, my friends 👀) and a great helping of mental health rep. I highly recommend you check this novella out during the holiday season.

The designer of houses and decorations and being snowed in…. Add a kid in the mix and things get … wild. Will they be able to juggle it all?
Beckett- deep and broody boss who always spends Christmas alone with his cat and his brandy!
Gemma- hyper mom of a two year old just trying to make ends meet.
The Dash project and a snowstorm and a fireplace. Panic attack represented!!! Perfection.
I will be reading this every February 1 because it’s always an excellent time for a cozy Christmas romance!
