    Another terrific romance from Nadia Han. This is book two of the WaterFyre Rising series. Royce and Michelle's journey is a great read, especially over a long break where you just want to relax and enjoy a great read.

    I love Michelle's story. And having a blogger as a main character is a clever idea to give the reader a fun trip to learn about another country. I really wanted to see these views as described. Michelle is dealing with bullying and her own personal demons. I like to positive fight by her to become a success. Add in Royce, who is a great character full of determination and a need to please and a need to help. What I got most out of reading about Royce was his need to be seen. (And who doesn't love a sexy but nice, rich guy!) A friends to lovers story is one that I have a soft spot for. I really appreciated the warnings on content and wish more books/publishers would do this. Michelle is a terrific character. There are all sorts of monsters in this story and they topics are deftly handled by Nadia Han. The tension builds well and the action is a little surprising, which adds to the reader experience.

    Once again Nadia Han gives these characters a depth and grounding in reality that makes for a really speedy but entertaining (and sexy) read. A must have on the beach or lying beside a pool... or sitting next to a warm fire with a blanket and a hot chocolate. You can read book one and enjoy the start of the series, or start with this one. Daredevil does stand alone if you get to this one first.

    The second book in the WaterFyre Rising series.
    In the first book, The Mastermind, we were introduced to Royce and Michelle, close friends of the main characters. In this book we take a closer look at their lives and what a whirlwind that was. I enjoyed the writing much more than I have in the first book. Despite trying to appear and calculating, Royce is a cinnamon roll. It is not common to have an MMC of Scandinavian heritage in romance novels, who also live in their native country and share moments in that place, so this was a welcome change. Michelle’s life and experiences as a blogger were very realistic. Her struggle with ED was heartbreaking. But I’m glad she found healthy outlets to deal with it and understanding from her mother eventually. The “fated mates” aspect was interesting, but some moments seemed unnecessary to me, way too many incidents for it to be realistic.

    All in all I loved the story very much. I am interested in continuing the series and can’t wait for the next book because I can not resist a grumpy male lead.

    The overall storyline was good, it just seemed like there were many things going on like puzzle pieces that didn't quite fit together at the end. Individually, both the MMC and FMC were well developed, and as the reader, I could understand motivation from their perspectives. The pacing left the reader wondering why certain events were necessary and the beginning felt very slow and drawn out, while the end seemed to rush. Overall, do I regret reading this book? No, I don't think I do. Ultimately it was a decent book.

Lets not forget about the secrets, action, mystery, sexual tension and perhaps a trigger warning to some about eating habits.

    Royce Viktorsson is a billionaire who, due to his past, does not believe in love. Always out looking for the next adventure, thrill, or a dare to be tossed his way. Royce, being Royce has the need to protect the ones he loves – and is totally confused when Michelle gets added to his list of loved ones. Loved Royce and his alpha ways!

    Michelle Yates is a travel blogger, whose next big adventure lands her in Iceland. She is learning how to fight the “devil” that she has carried with her throughout her life. It just might take a man like Royce to destroy that devil.

    Love all the adventures that Royce and Michelle take together! There are twists and turns, up and downs (some even between the sheets) and even some high and lows. All of these things kept me turning the pages until there were no more. Can’t wait for book 3!!! It is March yet?

    This is the second book in the WaterFyre Rising Series. It is such a good book that really has it all and is impossible to put down. It has romance and mystery. It also has a plot that sucks you in from page one and really doesn’t let you put it down until the last page. Royce is such an interesting character. He is such a thrill seeker and really is a protective alpha. Michelle is a very relatable character. She has such depth to her and is really flawed in a relatable way. This book is filled with adventure and sexual tension. It also is filled with twists and turns. I definitely recommend picking up this book, I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series as this was such a good read to me!

    This author always takes me on an adventure and with a great story, I often get to learn some interesting things. This was especially true for the Daredevil. I loved learning the details about Iceland and watching the story of Royce and Michelle take off. This book is a well paced, easy read with mystery and suspense intertwined through out it.  I love all of these couples in this series!
