Really helpful groundwork
Easy to read and understand with helpful guidance. I have been teaching for a while and this is a really lovely beginner's book to help build confidence in someone who is new to teaching. I have been recommending it to anyone ready to make the transition from performer to teacher.

The very structure of this book models the principles it teaches. Accessible, engaging, and easily applicable. The chapter on sidecoaching, alone, is worth the purchase. Highly recommend.

Yes, it’s going to help you teach. But also read the book if you are a student and you will get lessons on how to be a better improviser. I was lucky enough to be in a class or two with Andy. Students should read this too!

Whether you have already been teaching or are looking to begin, this book provides tools and concepts you can use and apply to make you a better teacher and provide a great experience for your students!

Andy writes in such a way that makes you feel like a friend is simultaneously casually AND passionately chatting with you about something they're so very excited to share with you. I was quite terrified of teaching an improv class, but after reading this book, I was excited at the opportunity. I have zero regrets about getting into teaching and a majority of the thanks goes to the guidance received from this book. Thanks, Andy!
