You're so Bad: A Fake Dating, Bad Boy, Revenge Romantic Comedy (Finding You Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 2,411 ratings

Never fall for the man who's supposed to help you get revenge...

Shauna

It's not every day you get asked to be a bridesmaid for the wedding of your ex and your ex-best friend. Call me lucky? My grandmother thinks I'm crazy for agreeing, but I can't let those so-and-sos know they've pummeled my self-worth...even if it's true.

Then my grandmother goes off the deep end and tells everyone that I have a boyfriend. A pediatric surgeon boyfriend. Worse, she's shown them his photograph.

The guy in question? He's a hot piece of bad news. He may have befriended my grandmother, but he's far from being in my good graces. So it surprises me when he makes an intriguing proposition.

Why play nice when you can get even?

Leonard

Shauna thinks she's going to pay me to play Chaos Coordinator. No need. Causing trouble is basically my calling in life. And if I can do that and spend time with a hot purple-haired ball buster?

Sign me up.

Nothing good can come of any of this. Then again, I realized a long time ago that I'm no good for anyone, myself included. So we might as well have some fun.

I loved this fake relationship healing romance. It had the perfect balance of humor, heartwarming love, real life issues, painful pasts, and spice. Leonard’s character was obviously such a wounded soul in need of healing that his pain was palpable but Shauna was equally in need of healing, her pain was just less obvious. The combination - whew - had me deep in the big feels and made the book unputdownable. Shauna is a clay sculptor who as dumped by her last BF for her former friend. She’s agreed to be a bridesmaid for their wedding and needs a date for all the wedding fun. Leonard earns a living by flipping houses, he’s had a hard life and not always made the best choices. When Shauna’s grandmother tells people Leonard is a doctor and Shauna’s BF they decide to lean into the fake relationship and mess with the bride and groom in the process. Their relationship develops naturally as they spend time together. I have a soft spot for the people who are a bit uncomfortable in their skin because they don’t feel like they fit in or are worthy, like Leonard and Shauna. So I love when they finally see their truth and they get swoon worthy HEAs. And this HEA and the healing that went with it made my heart so happy. As always with this author’s books, the story was well written and included engaging dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and a captivating storyline. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

The story presents as simple, when it's anything but. This writer knows things. It's highly plausible, funny—if a little bit of a tear jerker at the same time—and highlights the long term view of child abuse, including law enforcement shortcomings.

    It's a great read. Recommended!

Good storyline, fast read, decent 🌶️ scenes. Leonard had a few lines that went against the rest of his book voice, which was annoying, but other than that. Was a decent, quick read

Again, this book has a little of it all. It feels really relatable as well. I can cast people I actually know as the characters. And I really want to go to Glitterati and taste some of Mira’s awesomely named drinks.

Her Ex is marrying her ex-best friend; and she is bridesmaid? Grandma arranges a date for her with a ‘bad boy’ … gotta love her grandma, great character. I love the concept of the various kinds of artists are creating a ‘place’ for their various efforts. Her’s are angry clay items. The ex-girlfriend is pom poms (theirs a market?). He get’s introduced as a doctor (he isn’t) … they delightfully fall in love as they act out being a couple for the wedding. This is a comedy as well as a ‘turn tragedy into delight’. I loved the side story about pulling people out of bad foster situations as it is important for people to know that kind of thing happens.

I love love LOVE Shauna and Leonard. I have laughed so hard, I almost cried, but there’s also so many hard topics in this story, I had to read it in one sitting because I had to know how it ends!
Now I’m going to reread it. And buy all her other books.

I loved this story so much. It was sweet, and sexy, and so full of emotions. I loved all the characters and can't wait to read more of them. The character development was on point. So good!

I loved Shauna and Leonard, they are made for each other. The trauma. 😭 and finding themselves despite it was so beautiful. It was the sweetest love story ever. I'm definitely keeping my eye out for the other books of this series, and from the author.

Highly recommended to all romcom lovers who have a thing for troubled past and finding love inspite of it.

I already liked Shauna as a character and had been waiting for her to have her own story after seeing her initially introduced via Rafe in the Fairy Godmother Agency series of books by the same author. But I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Leonard as a character or not.

Turns out he really grows on you in this version of the ‘bad boy turns good’/’heart of gold underneath it all’ trope.

Shauna and Leonard are both complex characters with more in common than they initially realise. I loved seeing both their characters and their stories develop over the course of the book.

The introduction of Josie was a bit of a wild card and I’m not sure where the author is going with that just yet, but I’m keen to find out.

Am I glad I read it - yes
Was it a waste of my time - not at all
Would I sit down and read it all over again - yes, I could
Would I read more by this author based on this book - definitely – already reading the next book in this series.
