Angel In A Book Shop Kindle Edition

One bookshop, one Christmas in London, one unexpected love

On a quiet cobbled street in the heart of London, just a snowfall away from St Paul’s, Joshua Blakeman unlocks the door to his late father’s dusty old bookshop—Chapter One. He’s there to say goodbye to a life he no longer fits into, to a city that’s forgotten him, and to the dreams he buried beneath grief and guilt.

Then Michael walks in. With warm brown eyes, a gentle smile, and a coffee just the way Josh likes it, he seems to step straight from a dream. He owns the art shop next door—a place bursting with color, life, and a kind of magic Josh thought he’d stopped believing in.

As Christmas lights sparkle across the city and snow begins to fall, fate gently weaves between two men who thought love had passed them by.

Sometimes, all it takes is a locked door, a shared coffee, and one unexpected kiss to rewrite everything.

This Christmas, love finds its way home—between the pages of forgotten books and in the arms of someone who feels like forever.

You're caught up in the fact that this is going to be a paranormal fantasy of some kind on the very first page...but it takes a bit of page flipping to figure out that the narrator of the italicized portions of the book is Michael. He is not only the proprietor of the gallery Arts Desire (ouch!), the shop next door to the bookstore Chapter One (ouch ouch!) which is now owned by the deceased proprietor's son, Josh, but also Michael is not quite of this earth.

After that you will have an exceptionally pleasant time wondering how this angel next door is going to come to terms with the fact that he has finally found the man he loves...but perhaps at a price neither of them is prepared to pay. Along the way you will find other characters simmering below the romance, including Josh's mother, who may indeed be the catalyst the men, and the book, needs.

Sweet, lovable, not overly complicated, a terrific fantasy with a cover that aptly defines the men whom author Scott describes.

Ms. Scott is one of my favorite authors and here she comes up with a wonderfully touching Christmas story that has a hint of “other” at its core.

Josh and Michael’s story is a sweet read. Josh, the MC who’s lost his father, his user of an ex-boyfriend, and is ridden with guilt. Enter Michael, who serves as Josh’s muse.

This is the perfect story to read while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and a few-or more-Christmas cookies!

This is a beautiful story, one of second chances and true love. Josh is tormented by his past mistakes, his shame and regret leads to panic attacks which leave him panting and broken. Meeting Michael and getting reacquainted with his past will be the salve his soul needs. But Michael has his own secret, one difficult to believe, which threatens to destroy their budding relationship. Josh will have to learn to look with his heart to understand that true love is real… No matter what shape it has.
A comfort read, sweet, short, and really suitable for Christmas time.

This was a "just what the doctor ordered" sweet little read for me between Christmas and New Year's. I'm a sucker for bookstore based stories which drew me to this one. I loved the book. Simple as that. The paranormal twist was intriguing, the healing and recovery from grief and moving forward into a destined future was also my "cuppa" (as the characters might have said). Thanks for an inspiring love story of characters who give their all to be with their one true love. The ten years later HEA epilogue was just great!

A delicious, bitter-sweet book that could have been longer to explore the characters more. Oh well, I would have liked it longer as it would have taken longer to read... Thank you and well done.

Loved this love story, a quick read but an enjoyable one. It was good watching Josh leave his insecurities behind and gain confidence with Michael by his side. Glad he finally stood up to uncle Phil!!

Rj never fails, once again she has produced a fantastic, enjoyable book. Highly recommend
