- Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2020A wonderfully easy going read full of little nods to touchstones of our time. Charming and clever.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2020Easy read in chronological order, very interesting plot
- Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2020So, I’ll have to admit, I didn’t really know what to expect from this book. The title was interesting, plus, a friend recommended I check it out. I started it just before bed yesterday, and had a busy morning, but got to sit and get back to the story around 4:00pm today. I finished it just before 10pm.
Needless to say, it held my attention! The pace is quick, with very little “lag”. Due to the nature of the story, even the most mundane events of our main character Brandon’s days, hold a good amount of interest.
Brandon awakes from being cryogenically frozen, into a post-apocalyptic world, where it seems he alone, has survived a major disaster. After securing his basic needs, his decisions take him on an interesting journey, where he finds what he never even knew he needed.
You will enjoy this story, but be aware: those of us who read it, are now committed to what seems to be a series. One whose next installment I shall eagerly await!
