About the author

Grivante writes strange, squishy horror with a grin—zombie tales that make you laugh, gag, and turn the page way past your bedtime. You might’ve seen him on the back of a milk carton in the '80s, but that was probably his twin brother, Bob. They still haven’t found him. Weird, right?
He's the twisted brain behind The Zee Brothers: Zombie Exterminators, a fast-paced, gut-busting series that slathers B-movie horror in buckets of comedy, action, and the occasional inappropriate innuendo. Think Army of Darkness meets Shaun of the Dead, with a dash of The Dukes of Hazzard for seasoning.
Fans of authors like David Wong (John Dies at the End), Jeff Strand, and Rick Gualtieri will feel right at home here—assuming “home” smells like cordite, wet dog, and day-old brains.
When he’s not busy dreaming up end-of-the-world scenarios, Grivante runs Grivante Press, publishing weird, wild speculative fiction that refuses to behave.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2020If you like a little (or a lot) of humor with your Zombies, you can't go wrong with this series. Jonah and Judas Zee are Zombie Exterminators. And, they hate Halloween because of all the prank phone calls they get on that night. When their beautiful friend, J.J., shows up wearing a skimpy cheerleader's outfit and asks them to go out with her, they flat refuse. They prefer to spend the evening playing zombie killing video games and eating pizza.
When J.J. listens to the multiple phone calls on the Zee's phone, most are totally lame zombie jokes. But one message is from their former co-worker, Bert, who claims that zombies are invading his neighborhood. The Zees decide that they have to check it out just in case.
The descriptions of the various costumes of Bert's neighbors and how they turn into zombies is pretty funny. Of course, they all think that the whole "Zombies are coming" is a big gag, but they soon find out different. But, when the quartet (which now includes Bert) find 4 Teletubbies costumes, the whole situation gets totally hilarious! Add in the fact that J.J.'s dog, Xanadu, can stop time while disco music plays and that the Zees have a toothless zombie named Larry that they keep as a "pet" and you can see how much fun this book really is!
The narrator is perfect for this book and his different voices for the characters are just great. I would recommend that you not operate heavy equipment as you listen (even though J.J. is pretty good with a roller) because you will definitely make a fool of yourself from laughing so much. I was given the chance to listen to this audiobook by the author/narrator/publisher and chose to review it.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2019Will never see Halloween the same again (LoL). This was a great stories of the brothers and their lady friend. You get to meet some old friends, make new friends, and learn some secrets. Everyone has secrets and JJ’s are the best. It was a smashing good time and some sad parts. JJ has ample parts while the boys try and keep up. The end leaves me wanting more, so have to get the next book in the series. It was a blast!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2020Zee Brothers and. JJ end up working the one night a year they generally take off. This book doesn't seem to take itself very seriously and so is full of silliness. It was one of those books you find crazily good. I didn't really care for JJ's voice by he narrator which is why he got 3 stars. I received a free audible and am voluntarily honest review.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2018I really wish these books were longer. I love the story lines and the main characters. Jonah and Judas are great people. I wish there was more to their back story. And JJ is a firecracker. You never know what is gonna happen next. I also love the fact that they incorporate JJ's pup Xanadu is just a cute and cuddly bunch of awesome-sauce. Can't wait for the next one.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2019Luv the Zee Brothers! Can't wait to start the next volume! Hate to see the Zombie Exterminators drawing to a close!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ghoulish
Jonah, Judas and JJ have work to do but it's hard to tell a real zombie from a costumed person at halloween. Accidents, near misses and a fair amount of humour along with the impressive dispatching of the undead.
I really enjoy the Zee brothers as they're quite sweet in a strange way and always give me a giggle in the midst of the gore.
